Parts

Each part is a piece to be placed to / cut from a stock (sheet of material).

Parts attributes

A part has the following attributes:

• Shape - can be a polygon or circle (click to change),
• Length, Width - must be specified if the shape is empty,
• Quantity - how many identical pieces we want,
• Material - from what material is made (can be empty),
• Rotation step (in degrees) - smaller steps lead to large time for optimization,
• Mirroring - if the piece can be mirrored (side does not matter),
• Label - can define the purpose of the part,
• Customer - name of the customer,
• Color - the color of the piece. Click to change,
• Use it - (also called Enabled) specify if the part is used or not in the optimization.

Parts toolbar

• Open - loads an existing file containing parts,
• Save - saves the current parts in the current file,
• Import - import parts from CSV files,
• Clear - deletes all current parts,
• Label - prints adhesive labels for the current parts,
• Sort - sorts the parts,
• Columns - shows/hides the columns of the table,
• Additional - additional commands:
• Save as - saves the current parts in a new file
• Export - Export current parts to CSV and XLSX (when posible - polygons are not exported into XLXS),
• Open + Append - loads an existing file containing parts and appends them to current grid /data,
• Import + Append - loads an CSV file containing parts and appends them to current grid /data,
• Print - prints the current parts,
• Group identical parts - Group identical parts in 1 row,
• Append more rows - Appends more empty rows to the grid. Adding one row can also be achieved by pressing Down Key on the last row.
